DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE
NO. 559/KPTS/KB.630/8/1985
CONCERNING
PLANT QUARANTINE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE IMPORTATION OF
PLANT PROPAGATING MATERIALS OF
COCONUT, OIL PALM, COCOA, RUBBER, COFFEE, TEA, SUGARCANE, AND TOBACCO
THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE,
Considering:
- a. that the inadvertent introduction into the territory of the Republic of Indonesia of exotic plant pests might result in the decrease of productivity of plantation crops;
- b. that therefore in order to protect the coconut, oil palm, cocoa, rubber, coffee, tea, sugarcane, and tobacco crops in Indonesia, it is deemed necessary to stipulate plant quarantine requirements for the importation into the territory of the Republic of Indonesia of plant propagating materials of said crops.
In view of:
- 1. Ordinance of 27 September 1926 (Government Gazette of 1926 No. 427);
- 2. Law No. 2/1961 (Government Gazette of 1961 No.9);
- 3. Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia No. 44/1974;
- 4. Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia No. 45/M/1983;
- 5. Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia No. 15/1984;
- 6. Decree of the Minister of Agriculture No. 861/Kpts/Org/12/1980;
- 7. Decree of the Minister of Agriculture No. HK.310/21/Kpts/1/1984;
- 8. Decree of the Minister of Agriculture No. HK.310/22/Kpts/1/1984;
HAS DECIDED
To Stipulate:
FIRST:
PLANT QUARANTINE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE IMPORTATION OF PLANT PROPAGATING MATERIALS OF COCONUT, OIL PALM, COCOA, RUBBER, COFFEE, TEA, SUGARCANE, AND TOBACCO, AS SET OUT IN THE APPENDIX TO THIS DECREE.
SECOND:
This Decree shall come into effect on the date of issuance.
